Hull Storey Gibson Companies, LLC (HSG) recently announced a long-term agreement with Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) for the development of more than 33,000 square feet for the home to MRMC physician group, Columbia Oncology and outpatient intravenous therapy services, including chemotherapy. (March 3, 2011) - Hull Storey Gibson Companies and New Bern Mall are proud to announce the grand opening of Michaels, an arts and crafts specialty retail store. Michaels will occupy 16, 984 square feet of retail space and will be located next to the new Shoe Dept Encore store that opened in November 2010. (November 2010) Hull Storey Gibson announced that Shoe Dept. Encore in New Bern Mall held a very successful grand opening on Friday, November 12, 2010. The facility is one of Shoe Show’s newest concepts and offers 14,073 square feet of shoes for all ages. Shoe Department is headquartered in Concord, North Carolina and recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Store Manager, Jason Gerier commented that he is “excited about the new store and great selection of shoes. It is wonderful to see New Bern support the Grand Opening in such a big way.” Shoe Dept. Encore is one of the latest additions to the mall along with TJMaxx, Sears, Straight Up Faith, T-Mobile and Kevin Guilfoyle, Optician.
(October, 2010) – There is another reason for Lake City citizens to get excited about shopping in the Lake City – US90 primary retail corridor. “Backfilling the 37,782 square feet of space formerly occupied by Publix could have been difficult because of the large amount of upfit required to transform a former grocery store to a viable retail space” said Ky Widener, Vice President of Leasing. “We are delighted that Big Lots approached us and that we consummated a transaction which was mutually beneficial for Big Lots and the shopping center owner.” Big Lots is the nation’s largest broadline closeout retailer and sells high quality brand-name products. They are scheduled to open in November 2010. Janice Dorminey, manager of Lake City Shopping Center, indicated she proudly welcomes Big Lots to Lake City.
(October, 2010) – The new TJ Maxx facility located in Lake City Mall held a very successful grand opening on Sunday September 26. TJ Maxx offers brand name and designer fashions and now occupies 25,802 square feet of space previously occupied by Goody’s at the Lake City Mall. This facility was recently extensively remodeled to comport with TJ Maxx’s new interior finishes. Mall Manager, Janice Dorminey commented that she is “so glad to have TJ Maxx join the tenant mix at the mall. They are a good complement to our existing shops and offer an exceptional shopping option to our community.”
(September 14, 2010) – Mayor Robert Reichert and County Commission Chairman Sam Hart announced today that Hull Storey Gibson Companies has acquired Macon Mall in Macon, Georgia. Mayor Reichert said, “We are delighted that a Georgia-based company whose business is operating enclosed malls has acquired the Macon Mall. The principals of Hull Storey Gibson have expressed their commitment to work in partnership with the city and the community in restoring this vital Macon asset.” More>>
(August, 2010) HSG is pleased to announce the completion of construction of a new 14,550 sf Walgreens in Athens, Georgia. The Walgreens is located on a Lowe’s outparcel at the intersection of Lexington and Cherokee Roads. Walgreens will celebrate their grand opening in early October. Walgreens is the nation’s largest drugstore chain with fiscal 2010 sales of $67.4 billion. The company operates more than 7,563 stores in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

(May, 2010) - Hull Storey Gibson Companies and New Bern Mall are proud to announce the Grand Opening of T.J. Maxx, the nation’s largest off-price retailer. T.J. Maxx will be the Mall’s newest anchor tenant and will occupy 18,973 square feet of retail space. The official Grand Opening will be held on Sunday, May 23rd. The opening ceremony will take place at 7:30am. To help celebrate the opening, T.J. Maxx will present a $5,000 check to Craven Smart Start, Inc. More>>

Mr. John Gibson of Hull Storey Gibson Companies, LLC, the company that owns and manages Wilson Mall, said “This is exciting news and serves as a visible sign of Hull Storey Gibson’s commitment to Wilson Mall. (March 2010) Carolina Mall is boasting a fresh look, which includes new flooring and carpet, improved lighting fixtures, and the installation of wall murals with historic scenes of Concord and the surrounding area. Ky Widener, HSG’s Vice President of Leasing, stated “We anticipate the opening of a new Subway Restaurant soon, which will occupy approximately 1,850 square feet near the food court, allowing them to include an outside entrance to their facility.” Containing approximately 550,000 square feet, Carolina Mall was originally constructed in 1972 and extensively renovated in 1999.
