(March 1, 2010) Wilson Mall announced that a lease agreement has been executed with Roses department store, a division of Variety Wholesalers, Inc. Mr. John Gibson of Hull Storey Gibson Companies, LLC, the company that owns and manages Wilson Mall, said “This is exciting news and serves as a visible sign of Hull Storey Gibson’s commitment to Wilson Mall. (March 2010) Carolina Mall is boasting a fresh look, which includes new flooring and carpet, improved lighting fixtures, and the installation of wall murals with historic scenes of Concord and the surrounding area. Ky Widener, HSG’s Vice President of Leasing, stated “We anticipate the opening of a new Subway Restaurant soon, which will occupy approximately 1,850 square feet near the food court, allowing them to include an outside entrance to their facility.” Containing approximately 550,000 square feet, Carolina Mall was originally constructed in 1972 and extensively renovated in 1999.
(October 2009) Development of a new Walgreens is underway in East Athens. Located in the northwest quadrant of the Lexington Road (U.S. Hwy 78) and Cherokee Road intersection, the Walgreens site combines the former Golden Pantry gas and convenience store property with an adjacent outparcel. More>>

(September 2009) Hull Storey Gibson Companies, LLC recently purchased approximately 25 acres of prime development property at the intersection of Clemson Road and Longtown Road in North Columbia, South Carolina. Barry Storey indicated that the subject tract of land has already been subdivided, zoned, and graded for retail use. “We recently developed a facility for Lowe’s across the street and this land lends itself to both big box and small shop development.” Despite the recent economic downturn, HSG believes that well located sites should be pursued for future projects.
(September 2009) Hull Storey Gibson Companies, LLC is pleased to announce it has entered a lease providing for a Beall’s Outlet at the Statesboro Mall, Statesboro Georgia. Beall’s Outlet is occupying 27,540 square feet. Jim Hull, Member Manager at Hull Storey Gibson, stated that the company is delighted to bring Beall’s to Statesboro. Mr. Hull added that Beall’s operates over 500 stores and will add to Statesboro Mall’s offerings of brand name apparel and accessories for the entire family at wonderful price points. Hull Storey Gibson has completely remodeled and upgraded the Beall’s facility at Statesboro Mall. Ky Widener, the Vice President of Leasing for HSG, indicated that he is confident that Beall’s will do well serving the thriving Statesboro market.

(March 2009) – In the first quarter of 2009 Lowe’s celebrated grand openings of two stores developed by Hull Storey Gibson Companies with “board sawing” ceremonies – the home improvement retailer’s unique version of a “ribbon cutting” event. Lowe’s Home Improvement stores opened their doors to shoppers in Carrollton, Georgia on January 15, 2009 and North Columbia, SC on February 2, 2009. The respective projects represent the 33rd and 34th locations developed by HSG throughout the Southeast over a twelve year period. Each store will employ approximately 150 associates, specialists and managers. In addition to an extensive special order program, both stores carry more than 40,000 in-stock products, many tailored to the local interest and climate. In November 2008 HSG, commenced construction on a new Lowe’s project in North Charleston, SC - scheduled to open in late June 2009. Lowe's has been operating home improvement stores for 60 years with over 1,625 home improvement stores in operation.
